Lisa Lynn Phillips creates art in her studio in Muskoka  working with acrylics and other mediums using palette knives and brushes. Lisa Lynn gives the painting dimension inspired by impasto within impressionism. Incorporating textures from nature to appreciate expressionism. Starting off as a portrait photographer, art therapy has activated Lisa Lynn's skill and creativity for painting.
'When I'm in the studio painting it's a meditation, as my mind, body and spirit are absorbed by the process of the colors and creating an expression. I am absorbed in the art, as it flows onto the canvas streaming me into its current revealing an emotion from my love.'

The series Celebration Of Trees, as they provide us with the breath of life, is to give acknowledgement to the wonders that we so often forget. The Oak tree is known for its towering strength and deep root system. Trees are grounded into Mother Earth where their root systems form connections which helps support one another while they grow towards the light, their foliage not only photosynthesizes, it provides an atmosphere that sustains life.

The series Water Shapes Its Path, as it is vital to the survival of all life, is to bring awareness to the significant parallel to emotion. Turbulent forces of energy creating currents of direction, leading to many various paths in life. When the water is calm it is the perfect time to reflect and when waves are coming to shore one after the other, some small while others are tsunamis, it teaches us to notice our breath. Is the water clear or is it murky? Mindful that the beautiful lotus flower grows out of the mud and rises above the murky water.
